Refund Policy

Dreamwater Photography has a strict NO REFUNDS POLICY.

Once printed or processed we are extremely unlikely to be able to re-sell the printed item to another customer as the subject matter will be of no relevance to them nor is it possible to recoup the cost of expensive digital print media. It is for this reason photo products are not eligible for refunds. If you have any doubt we would strongly discourage you from placing an order until such time as any doubt you may have has been cleared up. Due to the nature of digital photography, once sent, digital images cannot be returned. Once a transaction has been completed (i.e., the buyer selected and paid for the photo and then Dreamwater Photography sent the buyer the correct photograph) it is then considered non-refundable. Refunds will NOT be given due to not liking a photo, selecting an incorrect photo after the buyer has already received the photograph, or any other reason.

To avoid disappointment BEFORE finalising an order with us:

1. Please ensure that you have ordered the correct photo(s) in the correct format. There is a drop down box where you can select which size print or digital photo you want.
2. Please take note of the size of the digital print you have ordered.
3. Regrettably it is not possible in the case of action photography to guarantee a great photo of every competitor due to the fast moving nature of these events.
4. Please check that the colour representation of the subject matter is accurate. This can be particularly relevant in the case of equestrian photos. Due to the volume of photos taken at events we cover it is not practical to analyse and adjust the white balance on a per photo basis after the event as we no longer have the subject for reference. We shoot in a variety of different lighting conditions e.g. outdoors in midday sunshine, outdoors in late evening sunshine, outdoors under varying cloud cover, indoors under sodium yellow, sodium white, tungsten or florescent lighting, or even more tricky, a mixture of the above. Any judgment on the accuracy of colour representation can at best be purely subjective. The colours in a photo taken under florescent lighting can look very inaccurate indeed if held against and compared to the original subject matter in bright sunshine. That said we do go to considerable lengths to ensure that we have acheived as accurate a white balance as is possible given the lighting conditions we have to work with. If in doubt you would be best advised not to place an order, or make a query before the order is placed.
To further complicate matters anyone viewing photos on our online Gallery will be at the mercy of the colour balance of their computer monitor. As all monitors are not calibrated the same all monitors are susceptible to displaying a slightly different colour balance. A particular photo that may look “right” on one monitor may look “wrong” on another monitor. Who is to say which monitor is correct without calibration?
The onus has to be on you as a potential customer to consider all aspects of any photo of interest as represented on our web gallery and decide whether this particular photo taken under the lighting condition prevalent at the time is acceptable to you BEFORE placing an order. If you don’t like the colouring of an online proof, please bring it up before you place an order and we’ll try our best to rectify.

We do not offer refunds on photos where accuracy of colour representation is cited as being an issue.

Photos Ordered in Error

Please note that under no circumstances do Dreamwater Photography offer refunds or replacements for photos or photo products ordered in error e.g. you accidentally ordered a photo of the wrong person or horse. If a buyer has selected and purchased an incorrect photo, he/she must notify Dreamwater Photography, before receiving the incorrect photograph. However if an incorrect photo is sent to the buyer and the fault is at Dreamwater Photography’s end as documented on the invoice, Dreamwater Photography will send the correct photo to the buyer free of charge.

We cannot guarantee the quality of photos printed at an external printer. If you are wishing to print, we strongly recommend you purchase a print directly from us, and then we can provide full support and quality control of the prints which are printed with top of the range inks, printer and materials. We cannot provide any support for photos printed elsewhere due to a variety of factors which would affect the quality of your prints.
